Are you guys all staying in Europe this summer,or looking for somewhere with better (or worse;-) weather?

Luca, going more south in France means Corsica but it's also raining there (water and often bullits).

Here the high temperature today is 15°. The sun is out right now, but we just had a downpour a few minutes ago and there will probably be more to come. The cold wind is blowing in more clouds.
Artemis -- I can't give you any encouragement for the weather in Aude next month, but it should at least be warmer and sunnier than in Belgium. I just had a look at next week's forecast for the south and it doesn't even go above 20°. And rain every day, although not non-stop.
Hmmm it doesn't look too good.
The decision is still fresh and i'm still reading the guidebooks. This is fully my department in this household and whereas in former times we used to wing it (and thus remain flexible) i intended to book a couple of chambres d'hôtes this time (because there are so many of them in this region). Now Mr A is starting to worry about the weather and suggesting to await the situation and maybe go elsewhere... which is easy to say for him ;-)
We would drive our (small) car, but driving as far as southern Spain for example would be a bit far to my tastes, we usually fly such a distance.
Thanks for the not so good news :p
Luca, maybe, but I would like to go somewhere else for a change. Although it doesn't like that- so I may end up in a hilly place only.
It has been cooler as of late, highs between 32 and 34. Right now it's 30.

Artemis -- it might be nicer down towards Perpignan. It's one of the sunniest areas of France, although they do get a lot of wind.
Besides, there is always a change in the weather at Carcassonne. If you have clouds to the north, then you get sun to the south. It's apparently the "line" between Atlantic and Mediterranean climates.

I can clearly see it rains again, cats and big dogs. 10° this night, 14° now at 11:00 and snow up from 1500 Meters. There is a nice difference between Carcassonne and here: If you have clouds in the north, you have clouds in all other directions too - we are the center of 'Clouds d'Azur'.
