What a nice way to spend a summer, Luca.
This year it seems like this: my children will travel on their own and we'll stay put in Italy, with some trips to the Alps already planned and booked.
At least the weather has cooled down considerably after last week exceptional heat...
Yes,here too....its raining today.Still very humid but only 25° today,so not so bad.....
Despite storm warnings, we didn't get any rain but it cooled off a bit since the end of last week. When we got home on Friday evening it was 31° and stuffy. Today it's about 26°, sunny with the occasional cloud floating by and a nice breeze blowing.
Been effectively no rainfall since the monsoons started and it's predicted to be a lesser than average monsoon. 30-31 C these days. Alternates between cloudy and sunny but at least it's not very hot.
It was sunny more or less the whole week, here at Berne, but not too warm. Pleasant temperatures (above 30 degrees) are announced for Sunday.
Bonn is unseasonably cool today - just 17C, with grey clouds drifting around. 20C and cloudy forecast all weekend. Very pleasant for me.
Thomas, it seemed I missed that wonderful alpine thunder and lightning event (re 1512), passing through 'your' region last week, from Antibes/St. Raphael to Sisteron. There were 'chute de pierres' though - due to Donar's activities - near the gorges du Verdon, some cyclists told me.
At this very moment: pretty unstable in NL, a bit like Fwoggies description on the Bonn situation. So feeling at home very much. But missing the very hot Massif d'Estérel....
Oh ... and very on-topic: for the locals probably business as usual but very interesting to see still some snow almost from the Cote d'Azur.
We have been forecast 33° for this afternoon -- I don't like it once it's over 30. Hot and sunny now and not much wind.

It's getting hot again here and even blue sky without the typical grey clouds in the past afternoons. The Mistral blows a bit what makes the gardens ask for water. But each morning it's about 10/11° - and 28° in the afternoon like now.
Arie, the snow you have seen is each year at this time to see. A very nice panorama is the view just at the beach after the fortification from Antibes looking over the azur-blue sea and the white picks of the Alps in the background.
