I just had a look at the thermometer -- it's 20°, some sun, some clouds blowing by but they don't look like rain clouds. We had a short thunderstorm last night, even though it didn't feel like thunderstorm weather at all.
Looks like the summer has finally arrived here...I'm up in the hills today (Castelbuono,in the Madonie mountains)...blue sky very sunny,24° up here but I think it is considerably hotter down on the coast.

Just got back last night from 6 days in Leipzig, Germany -- lovely warm weather, lots of sun, all the linden trees in bloom making the streets smell wonderful.
The monsoon arrived on the 5th in India, and it will hit Bangalore soon. Days have calmed down a bit- now between 31 and 32 C for the last few days, though the humidity makes it feel like 37-38C.
The temperature hit the 30°C yesterday and keeps going up. I live in a windless plain with no air conditioning. Open windows at night attract a large number of mosquitoes. I hate summer.

Today every now and then a shower and at the end of the afternoon some sun. Temperatures around 20 degrees and every now and then a lot of wind. Prediction is for higher temperatures.

Very high teperatures in the last week and it looks like the next days will be the same. It's strange but the south east of France is much cooler than the rest of the country with difference of 10/15 degrees each day.
Fine weather in Switzerland too: 33 degrees at Berne and 36 degrees at Sion (in early afternoon). One can almost see how the snow smelts in the Alps.
Sri Lanka: 31C every day, extremely humid. It's supposed to be monsoon. In 4 days I think we've had maybe 20 minutes of rain. A rain shower to reduce the humidity would be nice.
Still, could be worse, my part of Germany got smashed up by a supercell yesterday, which ended up killing 6 people and made it onto the BBC's front page and even on to CNN.
