BTW how are things in Milan?
Have the 'forconi' taken over the city yet?

Che cosa sono los "forconi"?

Whenever I would visit my parents in Florida in December or January, the temperature there would suddenly plummet from about 25° to 5°.
Not too bad bjd..apart from the 'los' (that's Spanish)....''i forconi' would be better ;-)
If you didn't read the link above..they are a group of protestors who have been demonstrating all over Italy (but especially in the north-though they actually originated here in Sicily).
They were originally farmers (hence the name, which means 'pitchforks') protesting about rising prices and costs, but now they are more of an umbrella anti-government group, supported by some political parties..esp.the Cinque Stelle and the Lega Nord.
There has also been reported infiltration of the movement by far right groups such as Forza Nuova,a neo-fascist political party something like the Golden Dawn in Greece.

Thanks, Luc. Actually, I studied Italian before learning Spanish, and the Spanish eventually took over completely. I can still understand Italian, more or less -- so I did read the link -- but when I try to talk or even think, then the Spanish takes over.
To stay on the thread topic, the south wind stopped blowing so I guess some clouds will be moving in from the west. 7° outside my window this morning.

Well, Luca, there's been a dozen or so tractors and other large, heavy, farm-like vehicles parked in front of the Pirelli building for the last week or so. So if that counts as a takeover of Milano, yes, we've been taken over.
Personally, I much prefer Chicago's Pitchfork Festival.
The link to the Wiki page describing it isn't working, darn.
