http://www.wetter.com/wetter_aktuell/wettervorhersage/16_tagesvorhersage/?id=DE0006515- it looks like you must wait for white Christmas if you go to Munich. But Schweinebraten & Knödel are fine not only in Bavaria.

Only a day in Munich this time (as I fly into/out of Munich)...we are going to have a week between Regensburg and Nuremberg.
BTW any German speaking expert ....why do some towns end in -berg and others in -burg?.....it is very difficult to remember how to spell them ;-)
"Burg" means fortress or small fortified place and "Berg" means hill/mountain.
Rothenburg litterally translated in Italian could be something like Castelrosso, Roccarossa...
(but NOT Borgorosso)
whereas Rothenberg would be Monterosso.
BTW: "roth" is a medieval transcription for "red", nowadays written "rot".
Great...thanks necker,I understand it.
Now i just need to remember which one to use when i write it.......

If in Nürnberg have a look at the Burg - 1000 years of interesting German (and Roman) history
Now i just need to remember which one to use when i write it.......
A typical confusion for English speakers ;-) We Dutch speakers for example, don't make that confusion.
9° and sunny today in most of Belgium.

Just back from a week at the ocean. No rain, and quite beautiful in the afternoons at the beach. But everyone in the water was wearing a wetsuit.
Here in Toulouse, the sun is shining, blue sky and 12°.
