Spain is supposed to be famous for its saffron. Any recommendations? in Barcelona/ MAdrid?

Some good info here.... but I always think of Iran for saffron

First time i hear about that. I know they grow some of it in Andalucia, but I think they export it mostly. These days nearly all paellas get their color using some coloring powder, not saffron as it is way to expensive.

Any grocery store in Spain is likely to have saffron. Just make sure you know the difference between turmeric and powdered saffron (buy the threads).
