We have been doing a extended road trip around Europe since 2006 with 32 countries (including Morocco and Turkey) and over 175,000 miles so far. Most Europeans know how great that is and we run into some from Oz & NZ, but almost never any from USA. We're a family & it's especially great for families and couples.

It is a shame for people to miss this opportunity (especially in this economy) & I recently just posted about it in our 3 best kept travel secrets and included one in the UK Guardian' s Sunday article "The Travel Guru's Guide to 2010" :

Our travel blog is full of great places to camp that we have checked out around Europe from Barcelona to Brugge and beyond.

Just wanted to leave it as a resource for those who might be looking at a great way to see Europe luxuriously on a budget or looking to do an extended trip!

Happy travels!

You seem to be very good at counting numbers. That's my first impression.

Hey Tom & Judy!

Nice to see you here! Yes, indeed, still having a ball!

We might get back to Italy this year ...hoping to get back to Lake Como area & Switzerland possibly in this year's plans, so might actually cross paths again! Keep in touch!

tony_b -Sometimes numbers are a quick way to communicate the experience! We have seen more of Spain & more of Europe than most of our very well traveled European friends, so have learned a few things along the way doing slow travel as a family! ;)

Looks like you are a hotel/restaurant owner in Ronda which is cool. We've spent the last 4 winters in Andalusia, so know the area well.

Even you must admit, with all the luxury resort campgrounds in Andalusia & Europe, that it is by far the cheapest way to see Europe & meet other Europeans! ;)
