Nice hotel munich

Country forums / Western Europe / Germany

hi, i'm looking for a nice hotel in munich that's not too expensive. Any recomendations?

I'd like to be near the city center and something thats not too clinical (hope u know what i mean by that). Lookin to spend about €80 for a double room for 1 night. thanks.

That is quite a low budget for a really "nice" hotel. Are you looking for a hotel room + WC? Three star?

I mean really just something thats not a hostel. It will be midweek rather than a weekend.

Hotel Jedermann on Bayer strasse.
or,,, Hotel Amba (near Hauptbahnhof)

Here are a couple of hotels in Munich that are "traditional". 80 Euro for a double in Munich is a little tight. There are some "Garni" hotels (basically means they don't have a restaurant or breakfast) in the Max Vorstadt area that are a little cheaper and close walk to city center, but may be harder to find on line.

Platzl Hotel right near the Hofbrauhaus a bit more than €80 though

Englischer Garten Bed & Breakfast up in Schwabing, with ists own babbling brook

Walking Munich a little primer

The Carat Hotel is a few steps from the Sendlinger Tor, the Jedermann or Drei Lowen near the Haptbahnhoff or the Cosmopolitan in Schwabing is modern Germany style but not clinical.

Try Hotel Ludwig opposite the train station. Stayed there with 23 of my fam and friends. read reviews on tripadvisor.com under hotel review.
