Milan-Venice transportation

Country forums / Western Europe / Italy

How would you suggest getting from Milan to Venice?

I am staying in Milan for a few days before I head to Greece by ferry. I think I will take the ferry from Venice, but need to figure out the best way to get to the ferry port.

bus?
train?
other?

thanks!

Take the train, there are many every day and will take between 2½ and 4 hours depending on the type of train.

Hello Stepher, I am in agreement with Ben. Every hour there is a train from Milan to Venice. Further every two hour there is an Eurostar ( fast train ) that in two hours and halh will bring you to Venice (really ro Mestre). For the Timetable see www.trenitalia.it Have a nice vacation Giancarlo (italyinexpensively.com)

Train is the obvious choice.
