A new low cost company is offering cheap flight Montréal-Paris (Orly) beginning in July 2018.

It is called Level. Anybody here have experience with them?

I found very few information about thme on line: 2 planes (Airbus 330) flying long distance, born in March 2017 and associated to Iberia Airlines, based in Barcelona.

As expected minimal service on board, pay for everything, but cheap tickets.

Anything else good to know from someone who had used them?

Are they severe or lenient about cabin luggage?

Thanks

Level is the new intercontinal low cost carrier of thre IAG group: Iberia (Spanish National Airline), British Airways and Air Lingus (national carrier of Ireland).
They started in June 2017 with flights between Barcelona and LAX, resp Oakland.

Also included in the corporate group is Vueling, widespread budget Spanish airline that operates some routes with Iberia. The "no frills" strategy has become so strong in Europe that the so-called "heritage" lines have to compete by using the same formula for their European routes. That's especially true of Aer Lingus, facing dominant no-frills line Ryanair out of Dublin airport. Level was announced around a year ago and seems to be proceeding slowly. Its flights may (or may not) connect to other carriers in its group.

What sort of prices are they offering for trans Atlantic flights?

And how many tickets at those prices?

Others have tried this before.Norwegian for example. They have very few flights at a low headline price, but most of the time they are no cheaper than the other airlines.

I put some dummy dates in and for a flight Montréal-Paris on July 30 and return August 18 they are asking 464€ which would be good (in summer) but as soon as you check one luggage, it adds 62€ each way for a total of 588€ which is close to what others (mainly Air Transat) are asking at that time of year.

And how many tickets at those prices?

I don't know the answer to that question.

I think the main advantage of that airline will be to increase competition.
