Island options around Santorini

Hello,

My wife and I will be traveling to Greece for 8 days during the first through second week of September.

First and last night of our trip will be Athens. We will also be returning to Santorini for three days. For the rest of our trip (3 days), we're looking to visit another Island, with close proximity to Santorini - or and island that is easy accessible by ferry or air from there.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions that can help provide some options for us to further research and explore.

The most convenient choices with easy access by ferry are Ios, Naxos and Paros, in that order on the route between Santorini and Athens/Piraeus.

The beaches of IOS is where I'd go. Just Awesome.

I come from Greece. It 's really nice to hear that you are visiting my country. :) I also believe that 2 days in Athens are more than enough cause during sunny days there is nothing better than being in a island.
I would suggest, to do a fast check to find the ideal place to satisfy your needs.
For example: If you are looking for crazy nights go to Mykonos or Paros if you need some peace go to Folegandros or Serifos etc. Any flight to aegean's islands don't last more than 45 minutes .... So, who cares what's near Santorini. I usually visit www.travelkiki.com which is a search engine for the cheapest tickets

Dear Friend I come from Santorini.
There are a lot islands around Santorini.
In this period

Quite ones are Sikinos and Anafi (is my favorite one)
More people you will find on islands of Naxos (also my favorite), and Ios and Milos
And then the islands of Paros and Mykonos you will crowded like Santorini

And there is always the option of Crete, with hispeed boat only 2 hours away .....
