Is there good nightlife in Tirol, Austria in October?

Hello.

I am going to be in Tirol from October 23 to October 29.

I'm landing in Munich, renting a car and heading south.

Usually I'm in Austria for ski vacations, so I know that the towns in Tirol have great night life whenever I'm there.

The question is - is it the same in October and months with no ski tourism? or is the nightlife so awesome there just because of the apre-skiers?

I don't want to stay in hotels in major/big cities like Salzburg or Innsbruck, I prefer staying in the nice awesome towns Tirol offer like Mayrhofen, Zell am See, Saalbach, Seefeld, Ishgl, Bad Gastein, Kitzbuhel etc.

So to sum up - is the night life in Tirol the same in the non-ski months? and if so, can you please recommend towns that I will have a great nightlife?

I would say that nightlife in October is not the same like in the ski season. I would have said Kitzbühel as it is a larger village (town). Once a fiend of mine told me that in Hinterglemm is even more nightlife than in Saalbach, which are both not in the region Tyrol but in the region Salzburgerland. I was in Schladming, the town in which the next alpine ski championship will be held, in the end of June. There was a kind of disco, but it was almost empty.

Ischgl is of course the Ibiza of the Alps, but not in October, as I was now told from a colleague of the regional tourist office in Tyrol. She confirmed to go to Kitzbühel. The other areas start getting interesting with the respective ski openings, from mi November onwards.

small towns and good nightlife are difficult even in the middle of the ski season. Innsburck is a great place and not a city.

Soelden is starting early, ski world cup opening the 26 to 28 of october.
Should be crowded and fun on this weekend also the two weekends before should'nt be too bad.
Otherwise I agree with Innsbruck big town rather than a city and nightlife is good.

night life in october is somewhere else but not not in small places in tyrol

Well so I came down to 2 towns I will stay in for 2 nights:

Zell Am See and Kitbuzhel.

Which one would you choose? I understand they both have good nightlife even in October, but which is better to your opinion?

Zell am See is always better than Kitzbühel! And it has a much better nightlife!
