Is a Swiss Pass Ideal for my Itinerary?Country forums / Western Europe / Switzerland | ||
Hello! During my one month trip to Europe this summer, we are stopping in Switzerland for 4 nights. For our trip, we did not buy rail passes as we found that we were able to do it much more cheaply with point-to-point tickets and flights. However, for our Swiss portion of the trip I think a Swiss Pass or a Half Fare Card might pay off, but I'm not sure. I've read the sites carefully but am still a bit confused about the discounts for certain trains such as the Jungfrau or cable cars. We are all youths, so the Youth Swiss Pass for 4 days or a Half Fare Card is what we would be considering. We arrive in Interlaken, and are then staying 3 nights in Gimmelwald. During our stay in Gimmelwald we will be moving around, taking buses/cable cars to other towns in the area, as well as quite likely taking the train to Jungfrau or the cable car to Schilthorn. We then need to catch a train to Geneva, where we stay for 1 night, and then fly out. If you could provide me some advice on the cheapest option it would be a great help! Thanks | ||

What made you pick Gimmelwald for 3 days??? There are so many more interesting places to spent your limited time in this beautiful country | 3 | |
