How to get internet on my phone in France? (two weeks)

Country forums / Western Europe / France

Dear all,

I will be spending two weeks in Southern France this summer. I did this last year too, but that time it was sometimes hard to find wifi spots to answer emails etc. This time I'd like to try buying a prepaid simcard or trying any other method to just have internet on my phone. Could anyone who has encountered this problem before perhaps help me out with some suggestions?

Thank you so much :)

We have used low-cost EKIT international SIM cards in Europe. Might work for you too: EKIT SIM Cards.

To both of you, thanks so much for the replies!

Thanks to the links you sent me I actually found something even better (although it is a bit of an investment) If you buy a portable wifi router (huawei sells them for 110 euros) for 30 euros you can buy data only prepaid cards that give you 4GB, valid for one month. Like this, everyone you travel with can use their phone and laptop.

I come to France a lot, so for me such an investment was worth it, but if you're just passing through at the SFR store they also sell data cards just for your phone.

Hope this can still help someone else :)
