Glacier express

Well obv i didnot mean like India, I know there's a whole lot of difference, :)
but i read somewhere there are different coaches thts wht made me ask this question.....neverthless my doubt is cleared
Scenic routes like Glacier and Bernina, i make sure i reserve seats there.

You will have to reserve your seats in the Tirano - Lugano bus too. That can be done together with the Bernina Express reservation, 1 or 2 days in advance.
In July (holiday season), trains leaving Bern in the morning in direction of the Alps (Visp - Brig and Interlaken) may get full. But you will always find free seats if you don't board them at the last possible moment. They usually arrive from Zurich or Basel about 10 minutes prior to the departure time. Have a look at the timetable. There are 3 one exceptions however, where reservation is higly recommended: Bern dp 7.34, 13.34 and 18.34 to Brig; these trains are usually crowded in July.

While i was going through each and every detail of the itinary, there is one thing you have mentioned i am confused about.

Sunday July 10th
Lugano dp 9.25 by boat to Ponte Tresa ar 11.06, dp by bus 11.40 - Luino ar 12.10, dp by boat 12.50 - Locarno ar 14.30; enjoy Locarno, Ascona and the Brissago Islands

Monday July 11th
Visit Bellinzona and the 3 medieval castles in the morning. Leave Locarno at 14.12 by panoramic train through the Centovalli to Domodossola and continue by bus over the Simplon Pass to Brig ar 17.41. Put your luggage in the hotel and go by train (dp 18.23 and cableway to Riederalp West, do a 1 hr hike to Rieerfurka and enjoy the views over Aletsch Glacier, the longest galcier of Western Europe. Go down to Riederalp Mitte, dp by cableway 21.05, 22.05 or 23.05 back to Brig

What i understand from above is, our luggages are still in Lugano and we see all this during the day.
But below for 11th you mention, leave Locarno for the castles in the morning? which means staying up in locarno when our luggages are still in Lugano.....do u mean that we get our luggage transferred at the Locarno station the same day and stay there for a night and next day visit these castles and than leave for Brig and do the panaromic Centovalli to Domodossola panaromic train + the Aletsch Glacier, cableway etc.....on the same day?? is it possible?? I guess u mean to say is sleep in Lugano for 9th and in Locarno for 10th and than in brig on the 11th?

Have a look at #12: Do Lugano - boat - Pte Tresa - bus - Luino - boat - Locarno - train - Lugano as a day trip.
Monday: Train Lugano - Bellinzona with all your luggage, put it in the lockers at Bellinzona railway station, visit the tiny medieval city center of Bellinzona and the castles on foot, go back to the railway station, fetch your luggage, board the 13.30 commuter train to Locarno and then the panoramic Centovalli train, change trains at Domodossola and arrive at Brig at 16.39. If you sleep in the historic city center, you have time to go to your hotel and to deposit your luggage there, if not, put i in a locker at the railway station. Leave the latter at 17.23 and arrive at Riederalp West at 17.50. Walk then to Riederfurka (about 1 km) in order to see the big Aletsch Glacier. Go then back the same way and take the 19.55 gondola (the last one) at Riederalp West or continue on a paved pedestrian road up to Riederalp Mitte (Restaurants), some 800 metres further away. From there, you will have gondolas which connect with the train to Brig at 20.05, 21.05, 22.05 and 23.05.

You may also skip the Bellinzona castles and take an earlier train to Brig (Lugano dp 10.30 - Brig ar 14.16). There are always a lot of possibilities.

1st day sleep at Lugano after the following activities

Bernina-Express to Tirano and bus to Lugano. Enjoy Lugano

2nd day
(Leave Lugano with bags and drop off at stn and than collect it from Locarno on ur way back from brissago islands and head towards Brig)

So basically 2 nights in brig and one in Lugano?
Does this sound feasible.......?
this itinary is spinning my head, but i know the results are going to be great :)

I don't think that it's a good idea to leave Locarno by train 20 minutes before you will arrive there by boat.
If you want to do all in 1 day, do only the Lake Lugano cruise up to Potne Tresa and go back from there by commeter train to Lugano, fetch your luggage and continue by train to Giubiasco - Locarno.

Ok i dont mind doing the bottom bit the next day, which means i need to put up in Locarno or go back to Lugano hotel? thts exactly my question.

Both solutions are possible. It's up to you. If you sleep in the Hotel Montarina at Lugano, you will be a few minutes from Luano railway station and probably pay less than at Locarno. Travel times:
Locarno - Lugano: 54 minutes
Locarno - Bellinzona (castles): 20 minutes
Bellinzona - Lugano: 25 minutes

I think it's easier to do the day trip without luggage and to sleep 2 nights at Lugano.

BTW: the Luino - Locarno boat is run by an Italian company and is NOT included in the Swiss Pass.
