Faro nightlife for grown ups..?

My friend and I are heading to Faro/Olhao next week for a couple of nights.

We're by no means long in the tooth (late twenties early thirties) and really want a decent night out, but a bit concerned that all reviews we've found on the nightlife talk about it being "student driven" and "average age is 22"!

Of course we've got no issue with students or people younger than us (we're mainly just jealous that we aren't them any more!) but worry about a Magaluf type vibe (and more importantly feeling old.. : )

Can anyone suggest anywhere away from the student centre, but still with good clubbing, good (preferably non-commercial) music, open until the very early hours but possibly a slightly older crowd..?

i guess you'll have to choose other town for nightlife for grown ups... :)
Faro's night life it's really student driven, so try Vilamoura or Albufeira... Definately not Faro...
