Do e-tickets have to be exchanged at the train station?Country forums / Western Europe / Spain
Hi, I was wondering, if you buy a ticket for a train in Spain online, do you have to go to the station to exchange it for a 'real' ticket, or do you just show your print out when the ticket inspector shows up?
no just turn ùp to the train with your printed e-ticket; i havent tried to just download eticket to phone and not actually printing - in theory that too should work. | 1
There is a square bar code on your printed ticket. | 2

In theory the ticket collector ought to be able to read your e-ticket from your electronic device. You may want to print it to be on the safe side. There's no need to exchange it anywhere. | 5
If it's a e-ticket you should be able to travel withouth going to a ticket counter, | 6
