Dendiatika vs Loggos, Paxos

I am travelling to Paxos in September and have booked accommodation in Dendiatika. Please can anyone tell me how far a walk it is from Dendiatika to Loggos? The road seems to go inland before heading back towards Loggos but I have seen mention of a donkey track that leads from Dendiatika to the coast....so am seeking confirmation that this track exists as I assume this will be a much quicker route. Also are there any shops in Dendiatika? I'm getting the impression there isn't but any information surrounding this community would be much appreciated. Thanks in advancde.
