Bus Travel In SwitzerlandCountry forums / Western Europe / Switzerland
Hi, I am planning to travel from Berne --> Fribourg --> Lausanne --> Geneve. I have checked the price of trains in Switzerland and they are fairly expensive. Is there any Swiss bus companies which operate and have a website that I can check fare prices? Much thanks for any help!
I've often been tempted to take the Postbus . See if it suits your needs : http://www.postbus.ch | 1
There are no long distance bus services in Switzerland | 2
Being honest, if you think the trains are expensive consider a pass, or consider visiting Switzerland entirely, it's eye wateringly expensive... | 3
aubo23 is right. There are no long distance bus services in Switzerland. The Postbus travels short distances only, mainly from towns into surrounding villages, between villages, and in the mountains. | 4
Have you checked out any rail passes? These can help knock down the price of the tickets. | 5
Welcome to Switzerland! http://www.sbb.ch/en/travelcards-and-tickets/tickets-for-switzerland/supersaver-tickets.html Otherwise probably you can use the golden thumb ;-) | 6
