Budget accommodation in Haarlem, Utrect & LeidenCountry forums / Western Europe / Netherlands
Can anyone recommend good budget accommodation in Haarlem, Utrect & Leiden? Thanks
daft simple-not even worth asking; the Youth hostels-formerly NJHC, now named StayOkay. Or via the allthis world sites like hostelworld-hostelz, etc. | 1
and make sure you spell Utrecht (with an h inbetween) to improve your search results. | 2
Leiden has no budget accommodation at all! Your cheapest option downtown would cost you about 50-75 euros for a single room, 75-100 for a double. I'm not sure what budget you're travelling on... but that's probably quiet steep. I would not recommend staying in Noordwijk, as the busservice to Leiden is less frequent than the train service Den Haag - Leiden. Moreover, it won't help you getting to either Haarlem or Utrecht. The Stayokay in Den Haag is near both train stations (Den Haag HS and Den Haag CS) and will get you Leiden in 13 minutes, to Utrecht in 30 mins and to Haarlem in about 25 mins. | 3
Utrecht... The B&B Utrecht City Center is a Hostel that is a good option, the main building is just around the corner from one of the main streets ...facing the City Theather...bars, restaurants and all that just a few steps away from it, they used to rent bikes there, not sure if they keep doing that anymore, though...they have dorms and some private rooms...and the owner has some more private rooms in another locating closer to the main channel... theres a link to it and the one through hosteworld Happy travels | 4
