budget accommo near Westbahnhof for single

Done a search, but however you slice it, there's few that match my own needs. There's folk wanting family rooms, and folk wanting budget in a price range i wouldn't call "budget".

So apologies if this has been asked a zillion times before . I am looking for a single room (with or without bathroom) that is close to Westbahnhof. With good access to public transport. I will arrive in Vienna by train c. 2130 and don't want to spend a fortune on a taxi to get to my chosen place to sleep.. I will have the whole of the next day for sightseeing (I know it's not much); attend a concert on the Sunday night, and leave for Bratislava as early as possible next day,.

I have found Happy Hostel and Hotel Geblergasse on the web. Happy Hostel sounds good but it is non-smoking.

Any other recommendations from anyone?

maybe you missed here that Vienna is no longer a part of Germany. It belongs to a nice, little country south of the german border called Austria.

OMG - so sorry. Yes, I do know that and am looking forward to my first visit since a family holiday when I was 13 (a long time ago!). I'm coming from Germany and had just posted a question on that forum. Must have forgotten to re-select.

I think if you repost your question, with the name of the city - Vienna - in the headline and put the question in the Austria section, you will get some replies.
With just Westbahnhof in the Germany section , nobody familiar with Vienna would read it.
