| englander20:44 UTC25 May 2007 | hope this isn't an inappropriate message for the forum, not exactly sure what the rules are.
anyway, going to barcelona for the primavera sound festival next weekend and am interested in responsible consumption of pastillas.
don't want to get conned/poisoned/robbed etc...
any tips appreciated.
got good spanish, if that makes a difference.

| benchong21:16 UTC25 May 2007 | What are you asking, officer?
You want names and addresses of reputable dealers in Barcelona???
| 1 |
| englander21:42 UTC25 May 2007 | heh, wouldn't expect anyone to go that far... although it would be nice.
No, general advice would suffice.
And clearly anything else that will help me and my boys at the comisaria pull off the biggest bust that damn city has ever seen :)

Bless your heart, you do know how to construct a good oxymoron.

| luddite200202:45 UTC26 May 2007 | Don't worry, commerce is international (so are ripping off and robbery, by the way...).

I could never understand the 'sense' in buying mind-altering chemicals from a complete stranger on trust, with no idea whatsoever as to their provenance. Your good Spanish may be useful in the emergency admissions unit at the local hospital.

| badger149213:16 UTC26 May 2007 | Pastillas de que? Hay farmacias en todos los sitios.
| 6 |
| navajorug14:00 UTC26 May 2007 | Badger :-) Creo que hablamos de vitaminas.
| 7 |
| tony_b18:21 UTC26 May 2007 | Esta buscando pastillas de caldo, no?
| 8 |
| navajorug18:26 UTC26 May 2007 | <:))))) O pastillas de freno.....pero ni unas ni otras se venden en farmacia...
| 9 |
| tony_b18:43 UTC26 May 2007 | Ay, que estan calientes las pastillas de freno!!
| 10 |
| mugriento18:44 UTC26 May 2007 | que noo, es un eufemismo, como cuando un tímido entra en una farmacia y se encuentra cara a cara con la farmacéutica y empieza "pues venía a por unas pastillas de menta ..
| 11 |
| navajorug18:56 UTC26 May 2007 | Mugriento, me duele la barriga de reirme.....pastillas...de goma... hee..... - eres un timido, OP? :)))

| onegirlarmy19:13 UTC26 May 2007 | Supposing that we are talking about X here, I regret to inform you that the pills here in Barcelona (compared to the stuff I´ve had in the US and the Netherlands) are quite interior. Yes, I can have fun and dance a few hours, but none of the mindblowing graphics and that "I think I am dancing towards GOD" feeling that I used to get with real X.
However, if anyone here DOES know where to get the real deal, please PM me the relevant info ;)
Have a great time at Primavera Sound! Maybe I´ll see you, I am going to try to borrow a boat from a friend and break in through the sea side.

| navajorug19:43 UTC26 May 2007 | If the pills are so interior, maybe you should try swallowing them outside. That wasn't God, it was a bearded DJ.
As for the last sentence, I'm not sure any more if we need a pharmacist, a good mechanic as Tony hints, or a guide to the Doors lyrics.

| benchong20:07 UTC26 May 2007 | You've scared Englander off!!!
| 17 |
| navajorug21:02 UTC26 May 2007 | He might have to look into barbiturates to calm down.
| 18 |
| englander02:44 UTC27 May 2007 | Not scared off (ni timido), I was merely away from my desk (cue castilian mumblings from TB and NR about my likely whereabouts... getting wasted in some dockside opium den, probably).
Anyway, thanks for the help... especially #14. Although I'm not sure whether I leave any better prepared than I arrived..!
I'm only trying to minimise the risk of something bad happening (while enjoying the luxury of a mangled brain, obviously).
