Arriving in Toulouse just before midnight. any buses to city centre?Country forums / Western Europe / France
I will be flying into Toulouse from Morocco on the 9th and am supposed to land just after 23:00. Any cheap buses running this late from the airport to the city centre. I know that a taxi is about 25Euro. I'd like to avoid if possible... Thanks for any help.
The airport shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes from 5 am until 00:15 (just after midnight). It takes about 20 minutes when there is no traffic and costs about 5.5 or 6€. There is also a tram (since this April) that runs from the airport to the city, a bit south of the centre but not far. Last departure is just before midnight. Price is that of a regular bus ticket (less than 2€). | 1
Every major airport i have landed at i remember the shuttle meeting the plane, no matter how late it lands. | 2
Since the latest flights into Toulouse come in around 11pm because of noise rules, the shuttle doesn't run all night. Passengers on an occasional flight that arrives after midnight for some reason are out of luck -- either have to take a taxi or be met by someone. They may build airplanes here, but I wouldn't consider Toulouse a "major airport". | 3
Thank you bjd. Your post was very helpful. When you say not far south from the city centre. Is it within walking distance? And is it safe that late to walk alone? I usually wouldn't worry about a late night walk but I'm pregnant and may not be feeling up to a long hike with my bags that late. Thank you | 4
Where are you staying? Both the shuttle bus and the tram put you in the centre, it just depends on where in the centre you need to be. | 5
