10 days road trip from Calais to Marseille

This is the beginning of a road trip around Europe, me, my partner and our dog are crossing France from Calais to Marseille and would like to know the best places to visit on a 10 days route. We are looking for beautiful nature, small towns and villages. We are also very keen on doing some outdoors activities like kayak, climbing, hike and others.

Would be great to have your suggestions.

Take a closer look at the Auvergne, depending on route you could drive through the Ardeche canyon, visit Avignon and maybe Nimes and Arles, drive the rest through the Camargue to Marseille, do take moskito repellend if you decide to visit the Camargue, we almost got eaten alive by them.

I would make a road trip of this kind :
1 - Calais to Loire Valley (driving and visiting some places - around 2 days)
2 - Loire Valley to Dordogne valley (Sarlat, Souillac area - visiting villages, castles, kayaking, hiking - around 3 days)
3 - Dordogne valley to Tarn canyon (near Sainte-Enimie - visiting villages, kayaking, climbing, hiking - around 3 days)
4 - Tarn canyon to Nimes area (Uzes for example - visiting villages, roman ruins... - around 2 days)
