Hi everyone,

I’m flying out of Geneva on April 1st at 18:30, however, I must be in Zurich until 1pm that day.

Is there any other airline than Swiss that flies Zurich-Geneva? As the Swiss web page is now requesting €400 for a one-way ticket that day.

What would other options be besides the Swiss flight and the 2h 40m inter city train?

Thank you so much in advance for your help.

Nice trips to everyone!

Hi,

I'm a UK citizen working in France and I don't have my passport for a few days as I had to send it to London to apply for a visa. I have a photocopy of it, and the only other form of ID I have is my EU driver's licence. Some friends of mine are briefly visiting Switzerland and I'd like to go and see them. I know Sw is now part of the Schengen zone so there aren't regular border controls, but does anyone know if it would be legal to go by train to Switzerland with just the…

Hi,

I'm thinking about spending the month of August in Switzerland, using a friend's house in Ticino as a base for hiking, soaking in the scenery, taking trips to fun destinations (not necessarily all in Switzerland- will probably go to Italy for a while too...).

I'm not really planning at this point, but more looking for inspiration/ suggestions of fun things to do. Hikes, short trips, must-sees, must-do's, must-eats all appreciated. :-)

Also, if you happen to be going there at the same…

Hi there
Does anyone know of any thermal springs that are not commercialised? We dont want ones that have all the spa treatments, with tiled type pools, just something more natural.

I am planning to make a treck in Switzerland from Meiringen to Adelboden by following the Swiss Alpine Route.
I will leave from Meiringen on July the 12th and plan to arrive in in Adelboden on July the 17th, maybe I will try to reach Lenk , the stage just after, if I can.
The Route is quiet difficult. We have to walk around 7-8 hours / day and this is Alpine roads so sometimes very technical... you can have an idea about it here : http://h2h.eurohiker.net/section_c.shtml

So if someone wants to…

Hello,
I am in sunny San Diego, CA and I will be visiting the beautiful Switzerland in early May. I have a hiking book, and some travel books. I am confused on some hikes. I am ignorant of how these treks work, because the culture is diff here in CA. There are some 3-4 days hikes, like the Wildstrubel Traverse i would like to do. If you are doing a trail like this, do you hike to a TOWN and sleep? There are refuges described in the book. Are they the same as staying in a town, but a cheaper…

Be interested to hear your opinions of Lausanne as a place for a short break (less than a week) in the summer. Everything I read about it makes it sound lovely, but for some reason not many people seem to go there on holiday. I like the fact that we can get there from Paris by train in three hours, and that it seems to have good train and boat connections along the lake shore, so we can also visit a few other places. If you've been, tell me what you thought of it. (If you can recommend any good…
