Hello travelers!
I am living in Zurich and have 5 days beginning of June to do some exploring. I'd love to see the best of the scenic Switzerland mountains and have heard about Bettmeralp and the glaciers there. Anyone have tips for where to stay cheaply? What towns I can couchsurf in perhaps or hostels?
Or are there any other places you recommend??!!
I am an artist so amazing inspiring vistas are most welcome :)

We had a bad experience with skydiving when we were in Interlaken. My friend had booked and paid for in full a skydive with a company called Scenic Air. The problem was that they never came and picked us up from our accommodation, as we had agreed with them. I am looking for a nice, individual and not expensive bed and breakfast there. Can anyone recomend one? I came across "Zum Guten Glück" and "Pension für Dich". Something like that, but maybe a bit cheaper.

I am travelling to switzerland in august with my mum and daughter by train from london. I want to know the cheapest way of purchasing the train tickets and also advice on where to stay on a budget. we would like to travel to maybe churs as wnat to see as much scenery as possible by train as my mum is not able to walk far. any ideas would be welcome

I know this question probably gets asked many times in this forum but my searches for clear answers have not been fruitful. I just need to know:
There is a direct train/metro connection between Zurich Railway Station (Zurich HB) and Zurich Airport, the trip takes 10-15 minutes, but how frequent are the trains? I will arrive via train at Zurich HB on 12 May at 1pm. I need to get to the Zurich Airport by 1.30 - 1.45pm (latest). Can it be done? Is there enough time for me?

Is there a big difference between travelling in 1st of 2nd Class. My intinery is as follows. Arrive Geneva 29/6/11. Shuttle bus to Chamonix for 2 nights. Travelling from Chamonix via Golden Pass Route on 1st July. I believe the only panoramic train is on the section from Montreux to Zweisimmen which i have to pre book seating. I will be spending 2 days/3 nights in Luzern - Day 1 - Trip to Mt Pilatus including boat ride

My husband and I are traveling to Zurich in June. We will probably stay two nights there. It seems that nice hotels are very expensive within the city of Zurich. I was thinking there might be nice towns just outside of Zurich that you could stay at and take a train into Zurich to do sightseeing during the day. Does anyone have suggestions on places to stay or visit? Or is it just better to stay in Zurich?

I accidentally chance upon this place, Lavaux Vineyard Terraces. So many good reviews on it. Is it tough for children age 5 to 11 and my mum 60? If so, is there a shorter trail so that we can still enjoy but miss some part of it? These train stations are mentioned: Chexbres, St. Saphorin, Lutry, Riex, Grandvaux. I will visit this place only after visiting Castle Chillon on the same day.
