What would be the easiest and fastest way (I guess train?) to get from Zurich airport to Lucerne, around 7:30am in the morning?
The hot tip is the 4pm Friday "happy hour" at Rugenbrau brewery - http://www.rugenbraeu.ch/de/bier/zwickel.html.
The huge 2 liter bottle is CHF40 (and it´s yours to keep and bring back to refill) and CHF9.50 to fill with Zwickel that is bottled at 4pm each Friday.
Abt 15 min walk from Balmer´s in Matten. They sort of know where the brewery is at Balmer´s.
As a part of 15 days roadtrip our last 3 days are spared for the return from Bern to Venice. We were thinking to include a high pass and/or an impressive peak for the children to remember. If the last night would be in Garda so that we can catch our ship leaving from Venice at 12:00 on our last day, could anyone suggest an itinerary Bern-Garda with an one night stop?

Hi Everyone
My 1st time to Switzerland ever. I need help please. My one friend wants to go in mid January before the high season and my other friend says it is better to go in April. I think April will be better as the days will be longer and we can also venture to other parts of Switzerland. My question is, will there be enough snow in beginning April for beginner skiing?
Hello,
Probably a crazy idea, but we're planning to take our one year old twin boys to Switzerland in August without hiring a car - we'd like to do the whole thing by public transport if possible. We're going to be based near Interlaken and we've booked a rail card that gets you 50% off most of the network and free travel to and from point of entry (Zurich airport for us). So I dunno if anyone has travelled this region with young uns, but our main questions are:
We have a fairly wide…
Hello! We are arriving in Zurich early in the am in September and will be heading out of town that afternoon. We are going to be heading from the airport to the train station which does not seem difficult. Was hoping to see if anyone had any ideas for us to be able to sit and relax somewhere, eat, watch swiss life for a short while? We wouldn't assume to ask what's best to see or how much we can see in such a short time. But maybe a park, or a market area. It is a Thursday if that…
My husband and I are doing a cycling trip but we'd like to include a hike or 2. They could be 4 to 6 hours in lenght give or take.
We would like to find somewhere to hike anywhere from Basel going eastwards toward Garmish-Partengirshen and eventually to Munich. We have nothing planned from Basel on, we only know destination points at this moment.
Any suggestions re hiking , biking, rock climbing or anything else would be really helpful.
We're in good shape.
Thanks in advance
Cathy
Hello
I have 5 or 6 hours in Geneva on a Monday in July from around noon to 6 pm. I will be arriving by train and need to be back at the train station by around 6 or 6:30.
I have a couple of specific questions and will preface them by saying I do not speak French.
So...
1) Are there secure lockers in the train station in which I can lock up my carry on bag for 5 to 6 hours?
2) What is best ATM in the train station for taking out CHF?
3) Do I need to carry ID on me at all times? Photocopy good…
Hi,
Can anyone suggest what type of sleeping bag I should take for camping in the Swiss Alps in July/August?
Cheers
Marcus
