We are arriving in Switzerland on Aug 30, 2011 from South(Italy/Stelvio pass/Ubrail pass) and will reach around Davos by late afternoon. We are two people (me and my wife)

We will have 6 nights to spend there 30,31,1,2,3,4(sept)
On monday (5th, we will drive back to Austria)

First and formost, is it peak tourist season, Will we need to book in advance?

We are wondering where we fill find free car parking and budget accomodation, preferably an apartment(chalet?)

Hi there. I have a stopover of 6 hours in Zurich arriving at 6am on a wednesday morning. I believe the airport is fairly close to the city, so I was hoping to see a couple of sights and find somewhere nice for breakfast and some people watching. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

hey guys, looking for the best 3 or 4 day trek in the country...i am finding plenty of day hikes and small and easy stuff but would like to do a 4 day trek that is more demanding...hopefully around jungfrau from village to village. is it possible to go fromgrindelwald to wengen to murren or something similar?

My trip is all set, will be travelling to Interlaken --> Jungfrau & then to Lucern from 11th to 12th October.

I know its a bit tight, and i am keeping my fingers & toes crossed that the weather will be beautiful and i do get a clear view in Jungfrau.

Was dragging feet on ordering Swiss Saver Flexi Rail Pass before leaving Canada, and now it's too late. Is it possible to get the same sort of pass at the same price (~$375 per person for 6 flexible days) in Switzerland once we get there?

We (4 adulsts) plan to visit Switzerland for 3days and 2 nights.
And we are confuse of either choosing Lucerne or Interlaken.

Which town is better for relaxing, sightseeing, and some day trip (i understand Lucerne will have Mt. Titlis, and Interlaken will have Jungfraujoch) with some light sporting trip.

We (2 adults + 1 9-year old child) plan to make a 1-day round trip from Lucerne to Jungfraujoch, either on August 5th or 6th. We can start our trip between 8am to 9am.

1. Is it possible to complete this round trip in 1 day?
2. What can be best train connections that we will take?
3. We are having a Swiss savers family pass, so can we use this pass for Jungfraujoch mountain train, or do we get any discount for Jungfraujoch mountain train?

My fiance and I shall be going for our honeymoon to Switzerland in October. Our plan is to start at Lausanne (most likely reach on 19th), stay there for 3 nights and in the meantime visit Vevey and Montreux (specifically Chateau Chillon in Montreux) on one day and take the chocolate train ride on another day (proobably 20th which is a Thursday). We shall probably be in Switzerland for about 11 to 12 nights.
