Hi there,
I need to be in Zurich for business for half a day in the first week of December and want to combine that with 2-3 days of snowboarding on a long weekend.
Where should I go that
- already has enough snow in early December
- is not too far from Zurich and can easily be reached by public transport (train)
- has plenty of blue & red slopes good for snowboarding
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
St Anton in Austria should normally have good snow then there is a direct train to Zurich not sure on journey length but it is not that long.
Zermatt and Saas Fee will have snow for sure, Davos most probably.
May be the Pizol area will be fine too.
Journey time per train from Zurich main station:
St. Anton am Arlberg: 2 1/2 hrs, trains about every 2 hrs
Davos: 2 1/4 hrs, trains every hour
Zermatt: 3 1/4 hrs, trains every 30 to 60 min
Saas Fee: 3 hrs, trains every 60 min
Wangs (Pizol Gondola): 1 1/4 hrs, trains about every 30 minutes
