I am travelling to Switzerland with my family (2 kids 10 and 7). We reach Zurich on 20th May at about 7 PM local time and have booked hotels to stay in Zurich for 2 Nights, Lucern for 3 Nights and Interlaken for 1 night. We finally fly out from Zurich to London on 26th May at about 5 PM.

The travel itenary which I have manged so far included visit to : 1. Mt. Platus, 2. Mt. Titlus 3. Jungfrau 4. Choclate and cheese factory... 5. Lake Lucern visit 6. Rhine falls.

If someone can help as to

  1. How to plan the trip as Mt. Platus, Mt. Titlus and Jungfrau seems to be one day excursions. From which city we should go where?

  2. Any other places which we can cover.. We donot want too hectic a trip at the same time we do not want to miss on great places.

  3. Where to do adventure sports like Paragliding, Parachuting and Skying.

You can visit Mt Titlis from Engelberg.

What is a 'hectic' trip and what are 'great places'?

What are your interests?

And, as a_p said, please do a search using the forum.

Googling Mt Titlis, Jungfraujoch, Mt Pilatus etc will give you all the answers.

Do you want to visit just Zurich, Lucerne and some snow fields of do you want to visit Switzerland? In 6 days you could see some of the gems of Switzerland too.
Have a look at http://www.myswitzerland.com/en/home.html and the many links you will find there.
Titlis, Pilatus and Jungfraujoch can be visited from everywhre in Central Switzerland.

The following places could be more adequat however:

Transport hubs:
Lucerne for Pilatus and Titlis
Interlaken for Jungfraujoch
Fares from there:
Titlis about 120 CHF/135 USD/pax
Jungfraujoch about 200 CHF/225 USD/pax

Closest railway stations and hotels:
Pilatus: Alpnachstad
Titlis: Engelberg
Jungfraujoch: Wengen, Grindelwald, Kleine Scheidegg

Jungfraujoch: there are usually less clouds early in the morning. Actually, there are no clouds and the temperature is 5 degrees below zero centigrades. If the sky is covered, temperatures will be somewhat deeper.

SWiTZERLAND WITH CHILDREN

As public transport is rather expensive in Switzerland, study carefully the sites about Swiss Pass, Swiss Flexipass and Swiss half fare card: http://www.swisstravelsystem.ch/Tickets.16.0.html?&L=2#s_h_f_c

Check the Swiss Travel System Family Card
The Swiss Travel System Family Card is issued at no cost to parents who wish to take along their children under the age of 16 at no cost. Please note that at least one parent has to travel with the child/ren.
