Am looking for a reasonably priced hotel near Geneva airport for one night towards end of Feb. I checked out Trente Trois which is apparently only 1 km away. The first time I checked it out through Easyhotel, the price for two people for one night was about 60 quid, the next day when I looked it was over 70 quid, today it is 90 quid. Is it possible that the price goes up so fast as the date gets closer? Any other hotels in the vicinity that anyone could recommend would be very useful. Many thanks.
May be you search with http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/reservation/liste_hotels.shtml# and http://www.booking.com/
Be careful: some hotels in neighbouring France cannot be reached by public transport (even if they are very close to the airport). Tram/bus transport from everywhere in Switzerland to the airport is good.

First I would suggest you forget the near the airport limitation. The train from the airport into the centre of Geneva takes about 15 minutes so there is no need to limit yourself to the airport area.
Try this one. http://www.holidaycityeurope.com/nash-ville-geneva/index.htm
Should be around 100 pounds a night which is reasonable given its great location. I've stayed here and the bar is unique for sitting and people watching.
I think you have to realize that the pound is crap exchange wise these days.
