Hi,

I am trying to book some 'cheap' (as in cheaper - I know that switzerland and esp st moritz is not cheap in itself!) accommodation for my boyfriend and I from the 30th July - 2nd August.

There is availability in the Youth Hostel, but its over 50 f each a night and there is no kitchen.

We would prefer somewhere that has a kitchen so that we can cook our meals.

We are taking the Glacier Express from Zermatt.

I am starting to think maybe we should stay somewhere else on the Glacier Express line rather than St Moritz because of 1. availability and 2. price. Already I saw that in Chur a hostel is only 35 francs per night pp - yes there is no kitchen, but that gives us an 15 francs for food.

We will be staying over the Swiss National Holiday on the 1st. We want to be somewhere where there are good celebrations and thought St Moritz would be best.

Can anyone recommend either:
1. accommodation in St Moritz - maybe a b n b or little house stay?
2. accommodation somewhere else in a good location that is pretty.

thanks so much

Lindsay

Here's a list of private accommodations:

http://www.stmoritz.ch/en/summer/village/accommodation/private-lodgings.html

These sometimes offer kitchen facilities. At least one even offers "Touristenlager" which are dorm-style accommodations. I believe you will have to inquire to these individually for availability.

Please note that the price of the youthhostel in St. Morits includes breakfast and an excellent evening meal so considering that you won't find anything else cheaper
