My husband and I are planning on travelling from Geneva to Italy (somewhere around Pisa or a little north of there) in a couple of weeks and I'm finding lots of confusing information about trains - which to book, how to book and if it's cheaper to fly.

I'd appreciate it if someone could help point me in the right direction about the best and most reasonably priced way to book a couple of tickets. We'd prefer not to change if possible since we have a couple of heavy bags and would be grateful for any information that would cut down on the interminable number of hours I'm spending online.

Cheers.

There are no direct trains from Geneva to Pisa. You have to change at Milan Centrale, for example: Geneve dp 13.42 - Pisa ar 22.14.
Etihad Regional/Darwinair have direct flights from Geneva do Florence.
