Hi all. I’m considering doing one of these guided 6 night / 7 day family treks around Mt Blanc with my 8 YO daughter as part of a two month trip to Europe next year (we are Australian):

A few questions please:
• Has anyone done this trek or similar with a child? Would you recommend it?
• How arduous is the trek? I trekked to Annapurna Base Camp a couple of years ago. As a reference, how would it compare in terms of difficulty?
• The trek runs from start July to end August. What sort of weather conditions can we expect at this time? Is there an optimum time within this period?
• The two treks complete a full circuit. Which route is preferable – the Northern side from Italy to France or Southern side from France to Italy?
