Hello all,

Long time reader and a first time poster looking for some advice re; a short period of time in Interlaken.

Basically, i am going to Interlaken whilst passing through for a short period of time and i will have a little bit of free time mainly around evenings and i am looking for suggestions for things to do (it doesnt appear to me that there is much to do in Interlaken in general?).

Basically, i will be arriving into Interlaken on Saturday November 5th at 16:40 and leaving on Monday 7th November at 09.04. However for the majority of the day on the 6th, i will be doing almost a full day excursion up the Jungfrau.

Any advice for what to do (on a budget preferably) with my spare time.

Do you want to travel on a budget ot do you want to go to Jungfrau (round trip fare 186 CHF/150 EUR from Interlaken)?

You could go paragliding, though not sure how late they go in November. Otherwise, its pretty much hanging out in the bar or the Casino. Though you could wander around the Belle Epoch hotels for a peek. Check out the Japanese Garden next to the Hotel Interlaken (where Byron stayed).
