Hi,
Anybody knows the exact location from which this picture had been taken? (the falls with the bridge and the rocks).
Please take a look at my profile picture. it is taken from a leaflet which gives recommendations of sightseeing in Switzerland.
This photo was shown on the first page of the leaflet and there were no details as of the exact place.
I asked our tourist agency though they couldn't tell.
We like this sight so much that we really would like to visit there (we'll be in Switzerland soon...).
The Falls and the rocks and the bridge together - create an overwhelming view.

Regards,
Rori

#1 it's the picture in the avatar. A pity it's a bit small, but i am sure that someone who knows the location will recognise it.

I believe it is this one. This is near Berschis, Walenstadt.

thank you all.
dr who - i'm afraid it's not the Berschnerfall. the rocks as well as the falls are different from the ones in my picture.
i'd like you to see the full size of the picture.
how can i attach a file to my post?

Well, the bridge and rocks look very similar. The amount of water in the falls could vary with the season. But then again, hard to see in your pic...

Lonely planet. doesn't allow direct attachment of images (something to do with the forum being accessible in expensive internet cafés with slow internet connection...)

You need to upload your image to a free photosite like:
http://www.yfrog.com/
http://www.flickr.com/
http://www.photobucket.com/
http://www.panoramio.com/
or one of the other site listed here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_photo_sharing_websites
and then copy-paste the link.

I'd PM you my e-mail, but I've got only one other suggestion: Giessbachfall . If it isn't that one, maybe someone else knows...? Perhaps you can e-mail the people at http://www.waterfall.ch, as they seem to be an authority on the matter.

thank you so much dr who!
i've asked Interlaken's tourist info and their answer was indeed - Giessbach Falls.
although i couldnt find that specific bridge in any of your links or anywhere else in the net.
just to be sure - i will send a question to http://www.waterfall.ch as well.
and i guess you're right - the same fall might look different in different seasons, and from different angles. however, i'm really interested in visiting that place where the two gigantic rocks are so close to each other and are separeted with a little bridge :)

i did find the pic in google pictures. please take a look at this link (sorry for the length).
