Good to know. I'll have a few alternative plans and be flexible. Thanks again meckerdv.
Hey Meckerdv,
I was looking on http://skiweather.eu/snow/ for the snow levels on the haute route for the end this week. It seems like the levels are pretty low from the map but I can't judge from the web cams. Can you give me an idea of what the snow level is like along the route? Thanks again.

Thank you for starting this thread....we are arriving on June 28th to do the route and were wondering about the snowpack, crampons, etc.... I will check the link you gave above, wangjm. Am looking forward to additional information from Meckerdv as well.
Thanks for taking the time to inform! :-)
Europahuette and the trail from Graechen/Gasenried to the hut will open June 30th. The direct trails from Europahuette to Taeschalp and from Taeschalp to Sunnegga will probalbly remain closed the whole year. Longer and more strenous alernatives are signmarked.
Cabane de Louvie is actually open. The trails Cabane du Mont Fort - Cabane de Louvie and Cabane de Louvie - Cabane de Prafleuri are closed (too much ice).
Official texte:
"Verbier - Louvie: il reste trop de glace donc n'y allez pas tout de suite à moins d'être un chamois a crampons.
Le Col de Louvie c'est non!"

Merci, Meckerdv. This is useful information. What is the website that we could go to, closer to our date of departure, to check? It seems that it might be a good idea to bring along our microspikes in any case. Is that right?
As the so called Walkers Haute Route is not just one trail, but a succession of different trails, you have to check many websites in order to get the needed info: Verbier, different huts, St. Niklaus, Graechen, Zermatt, etc.
In 2 weeks, everything should be open, except some huts and mountain hotels which may open a few days later.

Extremely light micro-spikes may be useful at (very) few places. Crampons would be highly exagerated.

Thanks again for that list. It makes it easier. It looks like we should be oK if we start June 30th. And your comment about having to visit different websites explains why all of my research didn't turn up a one-stop portal. That would be so convenient! As for the microspikes, we have the Hillsound microspikes. Is it even worth bringing? I'm thinking of the extra weight. I wasn't expecting to bring crampons, as I figured, like you said, that that would be too much.
You are a wealth of information! Thank you so much for your time! :-)
Thanks meckervd, that information and update is very useful. I also understand the concept of the walkers haute route much better. With the limited time I have in the area and the public transportations in the areas you mentioned, it had have allowed me to plan around the rough regions.
I ended up skipping the first segment from chamonix to veiber and doing the southern part of the tmb from courmayer since the weather isn't great and I like this section. (texting on my phone at Refugio elizabetta currently) There are some snow along the routes here but really no need of any extra gear. Walking sticks help. Will have more update as I get around Bohemme (I heard that ledge is a little rough to the col).
Will take train up to sion and bus to la sage to do second half of haute route with long term weather forecast suppose to be better in the region at the end of the week. (It's good to know about the europaweg not being open). Will see about veiber to arolla after I get to zermatt and possibly do that from 22 to 25.
