Hi
can anyone help me with advice about cheap accommodation in zurich? I am visiting a friend in March but due to some last minute difficulties we cannot stay in the place he was staying. I have very limited budget and desperate to find somewhere for us that is cheap but ok.

A google search will give youi all the ZUrich hostels. BUt, cheaper is "Couchsurfing". Do a goolge to get the couchsurfers site and then join it. YOu dont have to host at all, ( and obvioulsy cant if travelling) but it is a way to see places, meet locals etc for free. I have surfers come to stay on average once a week ( tend to only have ones who want 1-2 nights accomodation, are independant and dont have "I love to party all night" in their profile. Because every surfer has a proflie, you can do a search for a host who has similar interests as you.

Actually i have just joined CS but have not tried to stay anywhere or host yet. May be you could give this novice some sound advice!
That would be very helpful.
However, back to zurich. I will look at your suggestion on google because CS isnt appropriate for this particular visit to Zurich.
