Hi All, looking for your expert advice on my trip plan. Arriving from USA to Frankfurt on Jun2 and then taking train from frankfurt to Lucerne via train on Jun 2, reaching 7pm. traveling with 2 kids (12, 4). Plan as follows:

Jun2: stay at Lucerne
Jun3: see local at Lucerne (jet lagged too)
Jun4: Take Mt Titlis trip
Jun5: Go to interlaken in morning. Go around
Jun6: Day trip to Jungfrau or Schilthorn (which one should i go with kids?)
Jun7: ?
Jun8: ?
Jun9: flight from Frankfurt at 1pm. Need to be there by 10am.

Questions:
1. on 7/8 - should i visit Zurich ( we have been to Zurich two years ago, but was only 1 day trip) OR should i visit Montreaux or Bern? Any other suggestions.
2. There is a train that goes from Zurich/Bern (via Basel SBB) early morning on Jun 9 that reaches frankfurt airport at 10am. Are trains on time or should i plan on leaving on Jun 8th night to Frankfurt (reaching frankfurt at 1am on Jun 9th)
3. I can go to Basel on 8th evening and then catch the early morning train to frankfurt on 9th (as the trip is only 3:00hrs from Basel compared to 4-5 hours from Zurich or Bern).

Any other suggestions. I have gone some of the posts already to plan as much as I can. Thanks for your time in advance.

June 4 take the boat to Vitznau go to Rigi return via Arth-Goldau to Lucerne.

Why not to Mt Titlis ? because you will go up in the snow later and the cable car to Mt Titlis will still be crowed with ski tourists ... your kids will probably not have a window place.

Go to Schilthorn with kids. train to Jungfrau is only tunnel
7 June stay in Interlaken
8 June Bern

9 June to Basel change train to Frankfurt.

train Bern to Basel will be on time 15 min to change the train in Basel is enough with kids. Make reservation for Basel to Frankfurt (M) Flughafen Fernbf.

I suppose you know that the train Frankfurt airport dp 14.54 - Lucerne ar 19.05 (change at Mannheim and Basel) will cost 95 EUR/138 USD/pax/one way.
It's possible to rach your flight back, if you start at Bsel vwery early in the morning. But this will get a very long day. I would prefer to sleep somewhere close to FRA airport: Mainz is a very nice city for example.
The trains Basel dp 15.12, 17.12 nd 19.12 can actally be booked inthe net for 39 EUR/57 USD, the EC from Chur to Mainz is even cheaper!

Do you want to visit Switzerland or just Lucerne and some snow fields? May be you will gt some iedeas by loaing down at http://www.myswitzerland.com/en/home.html and the many links you will find there.
