My husband & I are flying to Bilbao, Spain this week! We are staying for a week in Bilbao and the surrounding wine country. Of course we will go to San Sebastian and maybe a few day trips from Bilbao. ( I have been to Bordeaux, France - and traveled in most of France except the Rivera and Pyrenees Mountains. We have 4-5 days to explore other areas and then we will be in Logroño for La Vuelta (Pro Bicycle Race). After the race,we will have another 3 -4 days to explore before we return to Bilbao to…
I am going to Barcelona in early September and would like to see authentic flamenco dancing where the locals go. I prefer not to go to the more touristy spots. I am staying in La Rambla. Anyone have any recommendations? A friend was in Seville and found a local dive bar with great flamenco dancers. Appreciate anyones help with this.
I will be off for 3 weeks in December and after a hiking trail in Scotland I felt in love with hiking. As I never been to Spain I was thinking about going there in December. I'm thinking about going for two of three weeks, depending on the costs. What is great adventurous location in Spain. It can also be multiple locations, I just want to walk some great trails away from civilization. Its okay to visit a city or village now and then but most of the holiday I would like to spend in nature. All…
I'll be arriving in Tarifa from Tangier on Thursday 21st September at around noon and flying out of Malaga on Monday 25th September at 14:40. Am considering various places to stay throughout this period...Tarifa, Cadiz, Marbella, Malaga. My interests are: half a day at the beach, not too much wind, seafood, somewhere to have a drink in the evening, a historical site or two. I'm m/36 and will be traveling solo using public transport. How should I allocate my time among the cities I mentioned?

Hi All,
My husband and I (early thirties) and our one year old will be traveling to Andalusia in October. I found a flight deal from the States to Malaga that I couldn't pass up. :) Though we've previously spent time in Madrid, this will be our first trip to southern Spain.
Hoping you'd be so kind as to review our tentative itinerary and make suggestions. A few notes:
-
While husband and I have traveled extensively, this trip will be our first overseas excursion with baby. We don't want…
Hi everyone,
I'm from Argentina, as my mother, and my pather is from Czhec Republic, so I have always wanted to live in a European country, but with a way of life similar to Buenos Aires.
Since I was in Erasmus Mundus in Barcelona 7 years ago, I have always been in love with this city and Spain. Finally I have been able to find a job here and I am interested in renting a house, or even buying and keep it as an investment in the future.
I am looking for different alternatives on real estate…
So here's the deal.
The missus is being sponsored by her company to go to a big conference in Barcelona in the end of this month (August). She thinks it is a swell idea that I and our not quite 2 yr old daughter come along, and has ordered tickets and made arrangements.
Now, given that Barcelona has never figured very high on my to-do list I'm not all that keen. Also, it's a city that has recieved some less-than-favourable press lately, what with the recent attacks on tourists, and also pretty…
