I am going to be moving to Spain for 1 year on a working visa. Does anyone know if I am able to purchase health and travel insurance in Spain? I am having trouble finding a provider in Canada because I'm not covered by government health care.

Thanks for your help and suggestions!

Hi all, I'd appreciate some advice as am working on an itinerary for 13 nights in Spain next month. We're flying in out of Madrid and want to spend some time in Seville, Grenada and possibly Cordoba too.
If I was travelling alone I'd probably hire a car, but my girlfriend (her first time in Spain) doesn't enjoy my driving :-) so I think it is more likely we'll be travelling around by train. How easy is getting around on public transport there? Any tips ?
With 13 nights, would anyone recommend we…

Hello, We are thinking to go to Palafrugell in mid October and I am trying to find timetables for buses from Girona- we won't have a hire car and I want to make sure we can still visit with public transport. Also, any advice on weather at that time would be appreciated- we are choosing between Costa Brava and Barcelona. I'm a little worried about rain at that time of year along Costa Brava coast- we expect cooler temps, but not sure its worth the risk of lots of rain. Thanks for the help.

Does anyone know if you can chicken out and turn around on the Camino del Rey? My fear of heights can be unpredictable and I like to push it to the limits, but I don't want to cause a scene if it flares up and I want to turn back once we get to the boardwalks...

Also - would one or the other of the routes be a bit better? (for example, no suspension bridge, less cliffy...)

I will be with my 25 year old daughter in Southern Spain for a week. She lives in Seville, so we'll be there for a couple days at a home base. Dates are Sept 3rd to 9th. I am then flying back out of Seville on the 10th. We have a choice of train as travel or could rent a car for the non-Seville touring. She has suggested Cordoba, Granada, and Cadiz (beside Seville). She said pick 2 (would be too much for the 5 days left. Suggestions would be wonderful between the 3 or others she may not know of…

Hi there... my boss is going on hols to Alicante (Moraire) and he is part of a booking on a villa with a large extended family group, for 2 weeks. He wants to plan some day trips and also a 3 or 4 night road trip / excursion with just his wife and two little girls, aged 5 and 6, so they have some time to themselves.
He, the Missus and the girls are very adventurous and love everything to do with nature. They are not interested in conventional commercial 'attractions', shopping or anything…

Traveling from Madrid to Algeciras via train. What is the best way to get from Algeciras to Tarifa during the afternoon. Will catch the ferry from Tarifa to Tangiers then transferring to train station in Tangiers for the night train to Marrakech.

All suggestions are appreciated in advance.

It appears that I'm going to be in Spain mid-September and to appease me my laopo has agreed to let me hike once or twice. I'd appreciate it if anyone can recommend some decent trails or English websites with trail descriptions.

I've read about Montserrat, but I have a low tolerance for crowds, and besides it just doesn't look very challenging. I'd like to bag a peak or two. Looking for a trail that will be around 20 km RT, and have a decent peak with some gain, 3,000' +. I'm OK with people on…
