I have heard both pros and cons about using www.hostelworld.com and www.hostels.com. Anyone have experience (positive or negative) with www.sol.com? Like everyone else, I don't want to book online then show up to find the hostel does not have a bed for me! I am going to be in Seville and Granada in mid- July.

Thanks!

Hi
Myself and a friend are planning on doing a trip around Spain and Morocco in August. We are meeting in Barcelona and plan on heading south for two weeks, then getting on a ferry to Morocco for two weeks. Then depending on how much money we have left making our way back up Spain and into France, my friend is flying out of Paris.

We would love to use a camper van for this trip for the freedom to travel when and where we wanted and getting off the beaten track. But because we are breaking…

I'm going to to be spending 5 weeks in San Sebastian very soon and was wondering if anybody could share any hints about what to see and do which aren't in the guidebooks.

On a more practical note, does anybody know of a gym which does short term memberships and how much it would cost to join?

Many thanks.

Jane

Holas

Those of you on your way to Pamplona for the Running of the Bulls (sanfermines) should be aware of the following! The bus drivers are planning a three day strike on 6-7-8 July. This in effect means no public transport (by bus) out of the city on those three days. You might be able to arrive but not leave until 9th.

Having sad that, a company called EDSA (www.edsa.es) have just laid on a service from Pamplona to Bayonne via Biarritz, St. Jean de Luz and Hendaye. Great if you're arriving in…

Hello,

I am planning a trip to Barcelona in mid-August. I have been looking into renting an apartment in Las Ramblas, because I have read good things about that area. I'd like some advice about the following things:

-"must see/do" in Barcelona
-beach towns close by, or east to get to
-best way to get to/from Ibiza (also when to go and where to stay)
-any other tips

I speak Spanish, so that will most definitely help me out.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

My wife, two year old daughter and myself are going to Madrid on August 2nd.

We plan to take our trip one day at a time. That is to say if we like a place we will stay

anywhere from three days to a week and then move on. Our total trip time will be about

30 days in all. I speak a good Spanish. Can this be done on 88 euros a day ($120 USD)?

We will take public transportation and probably get our food from the local supermarket.

The purpose of the trip is to explore Spain and talk to the…

The LP forum is good, but here is another one that is choc-full of really relevant information and up to date information.

http://www.santiago-today.com/board/

You have to register to post questions, but you can browse without registering.

There is so much online information on the Caminos that it can be a bit bewildering, but the above website allows you to focus.

BTW, I have posted the same info on that website as here.
