As the annoying tourists going to run with the bulls, we feel obligated to wear the traditional white pants, and a white shirt...Are they easily acquired in pamplona? or we should buy them before then?

Thanks!

Tragically, I don't have white pants. Any suggestions on where to buy the traditional garb?

It is actually the locals who are the annoying ones. Please make sure you let them know that. They seem to get all high and mighty every year about how it is always the Americans who get hit by the bulls...yet if you look at the statistics, it is the Spaniards who are the casualties.

But not all. It would be useful to look at how many drunken Anglo-Saxon, Hemingway- imitators cause injuries to others as they stumble.

#3, for obvious reasons, there are more Spaniards than forigners running, so these "statistics" say the obviuos.
The truth is the locals that really take the runs seriously complaint about the "tourists" who try to run half-drunk (fortunately the totally pissed-off are not allowed to run at all) and causing trouble. They do not mind if these tourists came from 100km away or from the antipodes. As well, the statistics don't tell if the injureds were as cause of any others stumbling around.

OP: try to buy any white pants on e-bay or cheap store, anyway these will not survive this trip. There is not a "traditional" type, anything white is ok. You'll get the red bandana easily once in Pamplona. I don't want to sound patronizing, but the locals who run DO NOT DRINK before running, so if you really want to do it properly, you know....

An Aussie got skewered yesterday, the first day. He's in hospital, in serious condition. Another Australian is in hospital although less serious.
