Hello!
I´ve read in this forum about Barcelona, Madrid, Andalusia and several places in our coasts.
I would like to know what attracts you most of Spain, because spanish people think that the sun and the beaches are.
But what have you heard about another places, like La Mancha (land of Quixote)?
Inland Spain you can find nature where you can practise several sports, peace, good food, folklore, beatiful landscapes and sunsets, enigmatic castles and a huge collection of romanic and gothic architecture.
I would like to help you discover this places.

Hi Juanjom,

up north, we have shitty winters, and this year, also spring. July and August are the summer months. People on vacation want to be sure they will have sun and a beach. So they go to Andalucia and Barcelona and the costas. Sun and beach, it sounds shallow but you would understand after 8 months of rain.

I lived in Gijon for about 15 months, and think espana verde is the best kept secret. It is beautiful, has low prices and the people are super nice. But there is always a chance of rain. People up north don´t want to risk it.

We live in inland Spain, but not in La Mancha. That would be too boring, regardless of the literary connections. Nice towns; boring landscapes.

Thanks for your impressions, but why do you think life is so boring inland? What do you need to getting fun? What kind of services?

I understand you very much, Peejee.
My doubt is what do you prefer:
a) sun, beach and lot of people
b) sun, water (spa, etc...) and not many people in the same places.

Obviously, north of Spain is very different from south, it is greener and fresh, and people is very nice, but is a little less passional.

Thanks for your comments.

My main concern is finding accomodations and transport from place to place.
