Hi there dear travellers

I am going to rent a car and drive around the Rioja region for 3 days and would LOVE if anyone could point me to a TENT pitching camping site near La Guardia or even Logrono. Since I only have 3 days, I think the furtherst west I am driving in the region is to Samaniego...unless one of you tell me the name of an amazing village somewhere else..LOVE villages!! Thanks!

If you google camping la rioja it gives plenty of information euro campings shows 8 sites. Whether they are still open in October is another thing.

Yeah, but many camping places seem to be for caravans only and i am on a two-man tent and YES, many do close in low-season, hence the post....Some of these caravan places are a bit soulless too so if any of you know of a farm that would accept a tent pitch, that'd be awesome! Thanks

Just an update as I've just come back from a camping trip to Rioja Alavesa. If you have to choose between the campsite in Logrono or Haro, go for Haro. They are both souless as full of caravans and it seems that people live in those for most or part of the year...but they are also at walking distance from the towns. Haro's had nice grass to camp on while Logrono's was horrible gravel. Haro's is much more green too and slightly cheaper...and the manager at Logrono's was horrible while Haro's was a great guy (although this can always change...). Oh, the facilities were MUCH better at Haro's too, newer! And you even have a place in which to wash your rental car! Good travels, folks!
