Hello there,
I want to take the ferry from Valencia to Ibiza and back again in August.
The Ferries Direct website quotes a return foot passenger fare of 97 GBP - this seems expensive for a 6 and a half hour round trip but perhaps I am wrong?
Does anyone know if it is possible to find cheaper fares?
Alternatively could it be cheaper if I wait until I get to Valencia and book locally?
Any advice is much appreciated!
Cheers
Richard.

Funnily enough, I've just done the same research for another poster earlier today. €140 return seems to be the fare on the fast ferry - that's about £100, the figure you got. You have to book seating so i guess that's what makes it expensive. On the other hand it is 80 kms one-way so that makes the fare reasonable compared with the ferry crossings from England to France. I don't think it would be any cheaper if you wait till you get to Valencia - it's high season.

Hmm, a closer look at Balearia's schedules suggest they don't sail from Valencia to Ibiza. But the search engine lets me select it even if it does come up with the origin as Denia. It would of course explain the difference in fare as Denia is closer to Ibiza.
The Ferries Direct site seems to think Balearia sail from Valencia to Ibiza...
Confused!

I was on their website earlier but it doesn't work! The calendar function doesn't operate properly and when you click continue nothing happens.

It only works in IE on Windows, and possibly not IE7. I can't believe a company of Acciona's size can't find a web designer who knows how to code properly.
I sent a suggestion in but I'm not sure if it was received or not, it just dumped me back at the start page.
Gah.
You're right, Luddite. I got it working in IE6. It can't be done in August either, at least not in a way that makes sense. Fast ferry arrives in Ibiza at 1530 and departs Ibiza at 1600.
