Im in need of some tips.

Flying into Alicante 9th June..... I have 5days to make my way up from Alicante to Barcelona by the 14th for the festival.

WHAT TO DO???????!!

I thought about just making my way up the coast.... Ive no plans, no requirements to really see anything - other than to take some time out on my own before the madness of Sonar.... shopping, eating, walking, drinking and certainly some swimming.....

Any suggestions on where to stay cheaply in Alicante..... Valencia..... or any small amazing towns along the coast i should maybe stay in, instead of the big cities?? (unfortunetely i dont have enough time to go inland)

Im researching it a little on the net but im struggling to find good, cheap accommadation for a single traveller.....

Thanking you in advance,

dribbles

try couchsurfing.com you'll have the chance to meet friendly locals and even crash on their couch or spare bed for a night or two and they're usually more than happy to take you around to see the city sights. i've only heard good things about this so far so perhaps it might be something you'd like to consider :P

Try "theorangehouse.net" brit run hostel mainly for climbers and walkers. 1hr north from Alicante Airport, walking distance to a charming village "finestrat" You will meet others to "do" things with. all types of accomadation from tent/ bunkroom +/-€12 pn to an ensuite A/C room. They have a pool and communal kitchen, internet etc. its €15 taxi to Benidorm (old town is ok)
