Is there enough to see in Ronda - either the city itself or near and accessible by public transport - to justify spending three nights there?

The alternative is to spend seven, rather than six, nights in Seville (we'll be making a few day trips while we're there).

We will be travelling in late September, no car, interested in seeing cultural and historical sites and we also love hiking in scenic spots.

NB: It's definitely either going to be six nights in Seville and three nights in Ronda or seven nights in Seville and two nights in Ronda for this leg of the trip! That part is non-negotiable, thanks.

There are people here who know the area much better than me, but my impression from other threads is that day-trips from Ronda tend to be to smaller towns and villages for which a car would be more convenient than public transport. That said, if your preference is for hiking rather than for such towns and villages themselves, then to me this makes an extra night in Ronda well worth considering - hiking around Ronda feels a bit more realistic than hiking around Seville. Within Ronda itself, do consider hiking down to the bottom of the river gorge - it's good fun funding your way.

Six nights in Seville is still a generous amount of time. There's probably enough to do there for three days. Cadiz is doable as a day trip, as is Cordoba - but the usual recommendation for the latter is to stay overnight.

Oh, that sounds terrific! Thanks for the tip(s).

We spent half a day for the visit of Ronda and half a day for Pileta caves.

Yes, a quick visit to Ronda suits some. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I found to do there, and filled more than a day. In the context of the hiking option, it was a lovely experience just walking round the outside of the old town (south side).

Ronda is a day trip at most, and Sevilla is beautiful! So much to do, and many cities are close by like Granada and Córdoba both are a must see. Easy to get to by train or bus. If you come to Sevilla I can send you a small list of places to visit and food to eat!
