I have used the RENFE On-Line Ticket system to purchase return tickets from Madrid to Murcia and return. I have been told we can catch the train from either Chamartin or Atocha, preferably Atocha, as we will have some time to 'kill' and it is a more pleasant area of Madrid to do so in.
When I booked the tickets it seemed to default to Chamartin. It did not give me an opportunity to select Atocha. I
have my customer number and 'localizer' and I will have the credit card with which I made the purchase. The question I have is......can I collect the tickets at Atocha, or do I need to collect them from Chamartin?

You can collect the tickets at any RENFE office or train station, as long as you've got all the details. Pick up the tickets at Atocha as soon as you arrive in Madrid and ask about boarding the train there. Shouldn't be any problems, and Atocha is close to the city centre, so easy to get to the sites.
