We are on a tight budget, any suggestions?
Also, off topic, where is the best, cheepest place to see Flamanco in Spain? We will be in Madrid, Jerez, Conil, Tarifa and Seville.

When I was in Sevilla people started to dance Flamenco on he street all spontanious (that's the best way too!), so how's that for cheap ;-) There are lots of shows in Sevilla, you'll find one to your appeal. Only in Andalucia you'll find the real Flamenco, but you'll have a safe bet on Sevilla.
I dunno if you want to stay in a dorm, but the Oasis is a famous hostel for backpackers allover. There are lots of guesthouses and hostals (1 star hotels) that have 1 or 2p rooms for about €20 pp. I stayed in Lis II, very central, and had my own room for €27 a night. Although not the best place if you're a solo-traveler.
Have fun, Spain is great!

check out: www.budgetbeds.blogspot.com<BR>they have a great collection of cheap places to stay in europe.
Jerez is the "best" place for flamenco considering it is believed to be the birthplace of it. Sevilla has loads of flamenco history and tradition, however bveing a much more touristy location you need to be careful where you go to see a show/event.
I said "best" in quotation marks as it really depends what you're ater. I do believe that one of the most enjoyable ways to experience flamenco is in a "pena flamenca" - a neighborhood flamenco "club" performing more for their own pleasure than for tourists
No matter how good the show, restaurant/tablao performances just do not do it for me. You need to decide what appeals more to you - the esthetically pretty shows - and some of them are probably really good, or the easy atmosphere of a flamenco association where the performers will usually be locals, and will not dazzle you with colorful costumes or perfect foot-stomping. For the first type a good tablao - flamenco bar is best and I can recommend a couple in Jerez. For the second see the link below:

There is usually flamenco at the weekends both in Sevilla and Jerez, also there is a Centro de Flamenco in Jerez where you'll get excellent information, plus the tourist office will inform you on current events. If you tell us when exactly you'll be in Jerez I will send you some info.
For accommodation - what's your max budget please?

I will be near and around Jerez from July 11-18th. (During this time I will also be visiting Tarifa, Seville, and Conil).
Tara

If you are stayin for more than 3 nights in Sevilla, the best option is to rent an appartment, I rent one, but in any case you will find lots at www.homelidays.com Check that they have air condition!!
NO saving, makes Hostel Nuevo Suizo worth staying at. Not even getting paid would make me stay there again - getting covered in BEDBUGS are not worth any saving...
